What's new

The latest features, improvements and fixes on botts.ai.

September 2026

  1. New

    Test how an agent performs

An agent can now be tested in different scenarios to see how it behaves. Each test sets an expectation for the reply, and the agent's answers are assessed automatically.

  2. New

    Predict future chats

From an agent's recent conversations, the questions likely to come next are predicted and turned into test drafts.

  3. New

    Images and screenshots in chat

Screenshots and images can be pasted or attached in the chat. Models with the Images badge understand what is on them.

  4. New

Model switching mid-chat and chat memory

The model can now be changed in the middle of a chat. The chat also remembers each member's role, projects and preferences across all models, managed in Settings.

  5. New

    Spreadsheets and charts in chat

CSV and Excel files can now be analysed directly in the chat, with results shown as charts and tables.

August 2026

  1. New

New models: GLM 5.3 and GLM 5.3 Flash

Two open-weight models from Zhipu are now available through Sference, with a 1M-token context window and inference on European GPUs in Finland and Iceland. Flash is the cheapest text model in the picker, GLM 5.3 the stronger of the two.

  2. NewFixed

Search and date filters for conversations

The conversations overview can now be searched by caller, member or source and narrowed to a time range, across the full history rather than the most recent entries. Call recordings also play directly in the overview, which previously only marked that a recording existed.

  3. New

Scheduled tasks: agents that run on their own

Agents and plain chats can now run on a schedule: daily, weekly or monthly at a set time. Tasks are created in the chat or in a short wizard, and results arrive in the app or by email.

  4. NewImproved

New plan names and free trials

The plans are now Personal, Business, Business Pro and Enterprise — with Personal as the new entry point for individuals. Business is free for 14 days, Personal for a month, without a credit card.

  5. New

    Sign in with Google

Signing up and logging in now also work with a Google account.

  6. New

    botts.ai as a desktop app

The dashboard can now be installed as a desktop app from Chrome or Edge — own window, dock icon, and automatic updates.

  7. Improved

Dashboard refresh: agents, chat & conversations

The agents overview shows each agent's deployments at a glance, the chat sidebar gains search, pins and unread marks, and long conversations stay fast and load quicker.

July 2026

  1. New

New model: Kimi K3 via Nebius

Moonshot AI's open-weight frontier model is now available: strong reasoning and tool use, a 1M-token context window, and inference in the EU (France).

  2. New

MCP integrations & reworked HTTP tools

Agents can now use MCP servers (Model Context Protocol): connect a server, discover its tools, and approve exactly which ones the agent may use. Custom HTTP tools also got a clearer setup.

  3. New

New provider: Prem — confidential AI

New models via Prem, a Swiss provider with an extra security layer: requests are end-to-end encrypted and processed in hardware-sealed enclaves, with inference entirely in Switzerland.

  4. New

Message queue in the internal chat

Follow-up messages can now be sent while the agent is still replying: they are queued visibly and answered together in one coherent reply once the current answer finishes.

  5. New

    Web search in chat

Agents can now search the web live and answer questions about current topics with source citations. Web search can be enabled per agent and restricted to specific domains.

  6. New

    File uploads in chat

Documents can be uploaded directly in the chat — the agent reads them and answers questions about their content. File uploads can be enabled per deployment.

June 2026

  1. Improved

    Knowledge base improvements

Knowledge bases are more reliable and easier to manage, with steadier crawling, instant deletes, and clearer indexing status.

  2. New

    Documentation site

A new documentation site with full-text search (⌘K), dark mode, and guides for every feature.

  3. New

    Chat-only Member role

Teammates can be invited as Members to chat with the agents without seeing the builder dashboard.

  4. New

    Backup model & automatic failover

Website and internal-chat deployments can set a backup model that takes over automatically if the primary AI provider has an outage.

  5. Improved

    Reactivate members

Previously deactivated members can be re-added or reactivated in one click — seat limits are respected.

  6. New

    Unified Conversations hub

Every conversation across website, phone and internal chat in one place, with channel and source filters.

  7. New

    Data residency controls

A Server Location tier (Swiss, European or global) limits which AI models can run, and a per-deployment Data Assessment shows which countries the data touches.

  8. New

    Internal-chat privacy controls

Organizations can choose whether admins see internal-chat content or only metadata; each chat locks in the policy active when it started.

  9. New

    Cost calculator & clearer pricing

A new cost calculator and clearer credit pricing across the app, with per-model rates admins can review.

  10. New

    Knowledge-base usage & limits

Knowledge bases now show page and upload-storage usage with clear per-plan limits.

May 2026

  1. Improved

    Clearer error messages

AI generation, transcription, phone-number and chat errors now show a clear reason instead of failing silently.

  2. New

    Chat deep links

The dashboard chat can be opened directly on a specific agent or model with ?agent= and ?model= links.

A form builder with built-in templates (contact, support ticket, booking), plus a submissions tab with CSV export.

  2. New

Endless chat & richer internal chat

Internal chat gained continuous conversations plus richer configuration — avatar, welcome message, and a show-tool-use toggle.

  3. New

    Feedback & conversation flagging

Thumbs-up/down feedback on agent replies and the ability to flag conversations for review.

  4. New

    Public models page

A public models page showing each model's credit pricing, speed and intelligence.

  1. New

    Realtime voice & call recording

A realtime voice test panel with a live mic visualizer, plus an opt-in call-recording toggle with playback.

  2. New

    People & Customer Memory

A People view shows who each agent has talked to, and with Customer Memory the agent recalls preferences and context across conversations.

  3. New

    AI prompt generator & templates

A one-sentence description of the agent generates a tailored system prompt — with ready-made templates and voice dictation.

  4. New

    Conversation history

A conversations view with full transcripts, channel and phone-number context, and tool-call details.

  5. New

    Phone agents

Agents can search content in hybrid, semantic or keyword mode — with clearer crawl status and a built-in search tester.

Sign-in with passkeys (WebAuthn) and two-factor authentication are now available, alongside a new Trust Center.
